I received my bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing from CSU Sacramento in 2012. I first moved to San Francisco from Southern CA going to the Art Academy for graphic design, however it wasn’t for me and after one semester I transferred to Sac State. I lived in Vacaville for 4 years while getting my degree and working at a small art gallery in downtown Vacaville. I spent one semester pregnant and took the subsequent year off on a leave of absence while I stayed home with my newborn daughter before going back to school to finish my degree. I moved to Los Angeles after I graduated with my daughter and husband while he pursued his BA at LMU. I got a job teaching art to developmentally disabled adults in San Pedro while my daughter went to pre K and kindergarten during the day. After he graduated we moved at the start of his new job in Mojave 10 days after I had my second daughter. We are currently living in a small community in the mountains. I grew up in Yucaipa, a small town 2 hours from LA. While in LA I put in studio time in my make shift studio in the living room after work and on weekends. Now I spend time in the evenings after the baby has gone to bed and on weekends working on my art in my home studio.
